Live With a Local

Kampala
  • Traditional Welcome dances and with traditional outfit and foods like the Luwombo dish. This is a meal steamed in flavored banana leaves.
  • The hospitable nature and cultures of the of the hosts, sharing of experiences, taking a tour of the most historical cultural and religious sites, sharing of the cultural gifts and friendship.
  • Ambassadors visit a health project supporting women with HIV/AIDS and their children.
Nairobi
  • Visitors are welcomed to dancing and visit to the homesteads representing various tribal groups of Kenya.
  • Pay a visit to a local children's home.
  • Do some shopping at a Maasai Market

Sightseeing Highlights

Kampala
  • Learn about Kampala's cultural and religious sites.
  • Tour of Mabira Forest, Budhagali Falls, and the source of river Nile.
Nairobi
  • The Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage
  • Anselm Kitengela Hot Glass, a wonderful place to watch glass blowing, admire many various beautiful ornaments, tables, houses and animal images made of colorful glass art.
  • Secluded caves, hanging bridges, walk the nature trail to the hidden cottages and swimming pool, feed the crocodiles. This is a wonder.

Ambassadors dropped at UHURU PARK to start the optional safari

$1600 USD

Price Includes: First night hotel stay and transportation from Entebbe, six night homestay in Kampala including all FFI fees, admissions and transportation, seven night homestay in Nairobi including all FF fees, admissions and transportation, airport transfers, flight to Nairobi.

  • Optional Safari - October 28 to November 2, 2017: six-day/ five-night safari to Amboseli/Nakuru/Masai Mara
  • Approx. $1650 per person, (single supplement: $590)
  • Tour Price Includes: Full board accommodation whilst on safari, meal plan, accommodation in double/twin/triple room sharing, all park entrance fees to include government taxes and service of an English-speaking professional driver/guide, game drives as detailed in the itinerary, exclusive transport in a safari tour bus 4 x 4 with a game viewing roof hatch and UHF radio, recommended mineral water while on safari, land cruiser transportation.
